Astrology has been a personal study of mine for many years, and so you will see here a set of works based on the 12 signs. They were all carefully researched as to which plants, jewels, animals and flowers belong to each sign. I decided that the feminine signs, such as Virgo or Taurus would have female angels representing them, and the masculine signs would have male angels. In choosing a theme, I thought of the culture I associated personally with each--for instance, Aries, whose planet is Mars, the god of War, is represented by the martial cultures of Sumeria and Assyria--when I thought of the god of War, somehow those strong Assyrian figures with the rippling beards and heavy muscles came to mind. The series goes from the first sign, Aries, through Scorpio--the rest of the pieces will be uploaded as they are finished. The one color piece was commissioned by a lady who was a psychologist and valued her ability to "weigh the facts".

All enlarged images contain a watermark which will not, of course, appear on the actual painting.All prints are on heavy fine quality paper, suitable for framing. I have had customers tell me that they sometimes enjoy hand-coloring their cards as well, for gift-giving.
